TOO MUCH VARAITION AND VARIETY
While it is always good to mix things up,that whole theory of muscle confusion has been debunked in the sense that consistent progressive excercise with standardized movement seems to yield best results.Of course trying to sell this to a client isnt as sexy as programming in massive amounts of variation as if offering amusement park training.
One of the other reasons for avoiding too much variation is that it makes it significntly more challenging to measure progression and that is critical in determining the stimulus that your body is responding to.There are also structural issues as in an activity like crossfit where one is asked to do compound movements that require spinal rigidity and then burpees that require more flexion. This can create a fertile ground for injury.
