Too much ‘Doom and Gloom’ instead of solutions to address the rising costs of energy.

As a?society we focus far too?much on?the ‘Doom and Gloom’.?With the?pandemic,?climate?change and now the?energy?crisis, it just continues to bring black clouds over?what we really are trying to achieve, which is?making a success of our businesses. Entrepreneurs in business,?whether they are a corner shop or an office block, want to understand?that?their costs are under control and?being effectively?managed?and at the end of the day their revenues grow and profits increase. But sadly,?this is where the problems then start to impact them.?Their?suppliers’?costs have also increased?as well.?So?businesses start to spiral?out?of control?and before you know it you are forced to pass on cost to the consumer.?

We?must?rise above this?and focus on the positives. The world is going through some?real?unprecedented?times with fuel?crisis and?energy prices accelerating, I’m not seeing a great change in?organisations putting their?hands up?for help. But we have two companies?that have taken one look at the costs and said?they?cannot justify this increase and passing on this cost.?We?have loyalties.?

For me now,?we need to embrace these challenges and?deliver?implementation.?Organisations need to know?that?we will have this energy issue around us for 6 months maybe?and I,?for one,?am?an energy purchaser for my house?and I was shocked at the increase. We?must?blank out all the negativity going on, stop listening to the press and media and?get down?to the?nitty gritty. Leave the doom and gloom and focus on recovery plans.?
