Is it too late to market on Facebook?

You would have already noticed a lot people are moving their marketing strategy over to LinkedIn (we all get the direct messages and it's a great strategy), some are back to Google Ads (or never left) - but what about that platform we all adopted for several years - Facebook?

Competition increased, guidelines tightened and there are so many more moving parts (rules) to a successful ad campaign.

The reality is, there has never been a better time to run Facebook ads.

A lot of ‘BS’ has been flagged and banned removing 'magic pill' ads from choking up the news feed.

People who aren’t serious about growing a business are no longer trying to advertise.

(For example the person that spends $5 on ads and decides that Facebook doesn't work or complains that they aren't seeing results).

Talented marketers are able to use retargeting and custom audiences to acquire very low-cost results.

You can now multi-platform advertise (Instagram, messenger, audience network) to get an edge over people sticking to the old ‘news feed’ only ads.

Data and tracking are far superior (and customizable) than it’s ever been.

The 4 key things you need to do to make Facebook ads work right now are:

1) Get your target audience right (so important).

2) Build an even more targeted custom audience off the back of this initial target audience (this audience will be so cheap to market to after the initial work and consist of your short-term buyers).

This can be anyone who has engaged with your business page or consumed a % of select videos.

Then if you want a broader audience - you can build a lookalike audience from the above audience.

3) Place the right offer at the right time to the right audience to get a consistent ROI.

4) Keep refining this process.
