Tony in the spotlight ??

Tony in the spotlight ??

First things first, the important stuff:

  • Bagel or donut: Donut ??
  • Call or text: Call ??
  • Golf or bowing? To be honest I like both as I am not good at either????
  • Dining indoor or outdoor? Indoor only because I prefer being in airconditioned comfort while eating ??
  • What would you do if you found out you could talk to animals? Become a veterinarian so I can help with all their ailments, or even a Pet Detective (just like Ace Ventura - 'alrighty then') ???

Where do you hail from?

I was born and bred in South Australia, with very strong Italian heritage (i.e. there's always plenty of family at any event we hold). Growing up with traditions and a hard work ethic has served me well over the years.?I have been in the finance industry now, in varying roles, for almost 30 years and have loved every minute of it. But ultimately being able to secure a role at ubank has been the best thing ever.?

My fondest memories as a child centre around our family gatherings. We used to get together a lot- if it wasn’t every weekend, something would have been wrong! Birthdays, weddings, making tomato passata (sauce) or even making sausages. At each event, my grandfather would be directing everyone like an orchestra conductor. We all had a job to do and without this oversight, nothing would ever have been done. Unfortunately, these events have slowed down considerably due to the passing of the ‘old guard’, but I am endeavoring to reignite the passion with my siblings and cousins to ensure that we teach our children these traditions, bring?the family together, and keep the old school recipes alive.?

Life as a BDM

I started my career as a BDM back in 2012 with Toyota Finance and have since worked for both Latitude & ubank.?

Being a BDM gives me the opportunity to meet new and exciting people, plus enjoy all the perks (like drinking plenty of coffee).

Since having joined ubank over 2 years ago, I have had the privilege of working with some amazing people, creating long lasting friendships, and living my best life with my family by my side.?

What's the best thing about living in SA?

Who wouldn’t want to live in SA? We have world-class wines, cafes with the best coffee ever, churches on almost every corner, architecture to die for and we can drive from the hills to the beach in under 30 minutes. Plus, the cost of living seems to be a little cheaper here too (as a dad to 3 kids the food bills really stack up)!?

All jokes aside, I really would struggle to live anywhere else due to my family and our need to be surrounded by our support network. Without them (both blood related & not), we would struggle to juggle all our commitments and miss out on all the great times we have together.?

Hit us with some life advice!

Live every day as if it’s your last – sorry to be so morbid – but at least you will make the most of each day without taking anything for granted.?
