Tony Robbins | The Cure for Quiet Quitting
Tony Robbins' latest on quiet quitting reminds me why I had a huge self-improvement crush on him when Awaken the Giant Within first came out - me and millions of other people searching for answers.

Love the way he found experts to confirm that the answer to our problems is to be more like nature by helping each other, and strengthen our human connections
Sharing his great points:
?? In all our well-intentioned efforts, in all our grinding and hustling, we’ve missed the higher calling in what we do.?
?? I don’t think we humans were put on this earth to just churn out reports and make the bottom line.?
I'll have to make a whole other post about this part: "My friend, business is a spiritual game.?Don’t mishear me. I’m not talking about religion or woo-woo spiritual. I’m talking about tying what we do daily to the core of what makes us human: IMPACT. The desire to contribute. To do more, be more, give more, serve more."
?? It’s in our DNA. The first humans were wired for community and service.?We gathered in small tribes where we?relied on one-another for food, shelter, protection, and?connection.??

??He quoted Anthropologist Margaret Mead: “Helping is evolutionary and can be seen everywhere in nature, from bees to mushrooms.”?
His solution to burnout is that our first instinct is to run away and conserve our energy - but that just makes us feel emptier. His cure for quiet quitting: "Lean in.?Find your WHY. And don’t shy away from deeper connections. Even when you’re tired."
And skipping to the end:
?? "When we give more, we are connecting to the part of us that makes us truly human. And in that we find?meaning and purpose."
My Commentary
Love the way he found experts to confirm that the answer to our problems is to be more like nature by helping each other, and strengthen our human connections: "Co-Auther Dr. Steven Trzeciak of the book, The Wonder Drug: 7 Scientifically Proven Ways Serving Others is The Best Medicine for Yourself (2022), found:?“The cure for burnout was not escape. I could boost my resilience and?protect myself from burnout by making deeper human connections.”?
But what am I always saying that all these super-intelligent experts are not aware of yet - the human ego is growing in our time. Self-improvement and reading all these amazing concepts may have plugged a hole in our heart for a while - but now that's no longer enough. Why? Because the human ego is growing and that means it used to be easier for us to come out of ourselves and help others - now it's harder. The human ego is growing and causing great clashes everywhere in the world - and also between us and nature. Without being aware of the system we exist in and how it works (sorry to get all "woo-woo spiritual" on you), and especially what's going on with our ego now, things won't get better. Employers will still be wrestling with a whole range of people issues on a daily basis and have no way of fixing them to everyone's satisfaction.
It's great that everyone understands the need for helping each other and strengthening human bonds, but none of this will come naturally anymore. We're going to have to consciously invest in human connection and make it a priority if we want people to be motivated about their work. And if we want people to be motivated about life in general, and their ability to contribute in a very positive way to the whole. Without that people have no hope and don't see a bright future up ahead worth striving for together.

2 年Your commentary excellently addresses the Ego problem and describes it well. "we're going to have to let go of some old concepts to get there." I would like to suggest letting go of trying to fix the world to meet our ideal(s) or standards. Maybe we should focus on fixing ourselves within to match the energies we encounter around us with love and acceptance, call it equivalence of form?
