Although there are several books on the subject of structure that students of architecture may benefit from, my favorite is definitely "Tony Hunt's Sketchbook". When I was an invited lecturer at Isfahan University of Art and Architecture, a talented student of mine - Hamed Kazerouni - approached me asking for a good book to translate into Farsi (Persian). My suggestion was the second-to-none Tony Hunt's Sketchbook. We soon embarked on and a few months later it was translated, edited, and ready to be published. Due to some obstacles including copyright and bureaucracy, it was never published. By the way, I strongly recommend it to students of architecture and structure as it conveys a true understanding of structure; Many examples from nature to manmade structures to details and calculations give a comprehensive understanding of the concept of structures.

5 个月I just came across this post and wanted to take a moment to say what a pleasure it was working with you on the translation of Tony Hunt's Sketchbook! As you might recall, I wasn’t going through the easiest time of my life back then, but that opportunity and project left me with positive memories, for which I am truly grateful. Although we didn’t end up publishing it, the project was very rewarding.?It later sparked an insightful understanding of structures among my classmates and I learned a great deal from you—not only about building structures, but also about the structure of life itself :)? Thank you!
