Tons of shows and Express Entry draws

A very hectic few weeks with tons of content creation and Express Entry draws for the immigration crowd.

Immigration

• So far we've had 7 Express Entry draws in the month of July - holy! I shared some thoughts after the 5th draw in a recent LinkedIn post here , then went into more detail on...
• The Visto Show. Last week I did a deep dive on Express Entry - the recent draws and what I think of them - as well as other updates, new immigration AI at Visto.ai and much more.
• Speaking of big online shows, I was lucky to guest on Mark Holthe 's show this week to discuss the impact of AI on Canadian immigration. It was an amazing talk that spanned a lot of sub-topics, like how far AI has come already, where we see it going next, the threats to consider, how it could change the industry and a lot more. Definitely check out the recording here.
• Another amazing episode of the Canadian Immigration Pros Podcast went live this week where I did a deep dive into the Atlantic Immigration Program with Arshdeep Kaur, RCIC-IRB . This is more timely than ever as getting permanent residence the "traditional way" has gotten harder than ever. I highly recommend watching or listening to it here.

Business

• I stopped practicing law when I cofounded Visto, but I still spend a lot of time around law firms and the "business of law". In a recent post I talked about how I'd start a law firm from scratch if I had to and it got some really good engagement.
• More of what I'm seeing and how law firms in Canada are adapting to shifting markets, better technology and a renewed focus on profits. And more specifically, staying small in headcount by design. Check out the full post here and let me know what you think!

Personal

• I was lucky that Olena Weber invited me to guest on her podcast where we had a great chat about a few things related to 1) my experience as a lawyer and what led me to cofound Visto and focus more on tech, and 2) tips for law firm owners/operators and where we see things going with technology.
