10 Finalists were selected from 400 applications in the last six months--that's a super high bar. And it's a national one. We have founders flying in from LA to New Hampshire to experience the mentors, the audience and the focus of the largest pitch event for under-represented founders in the country.
Plus, you'll hear from Sheena Allen, our keynote, on how she's building a new banking model that serves 1 in 5 Americans--currently an underserved and under-resourced financial services audience. You'll learn how she got introductions to venture capital, and is currently funded by Initialized, Maveron and Valor Ventures.
The 7th Startup Runway Cohort hails from six states. It's our most competitive cohort yet, and their excellence is why we have VCs flying in from New York, California, and Massachusetts to see their first public pitches. So far, 25 investors are registered.
Audience members are active participants--going back and forth with VCs on the Ask Me Anything panel and helping pick the Audience Choice $10,000 grant presented by American Family Insurance. Plus, you have to help us toast the $10,000 grant winners!
