2019 is over.
December is always a month of celebration and nostalgia, urgency and slowdown, balancing between accomplished projects and promises of future plans. And that uncomfortable feeling that not everything happened as we had planned or wanted. Why?
Was it this liquid time that ran down our hands? Or was it our old procrastination way of living dangerously, on the edge of improvisation, solving everything at the last minute?
Perhaps we have been betrayed by the illusion that we are still in control. The world is becoming more volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous every day and the future is no longer as it once was. There are no more absolute truths. Have they ever existed?
Why do we insist on not understanding, practically at the beginning of the third decade of the 21st century, our walking prototype condition, which is being built and deconstructed at any moment, even if we are not aware of it?
Have you ever stopped to think that our lives don't allow rehearsal? It is an eternal pilot project, without the right to replay. It is during our walk that we make our way in this continuous mode of choosing, testing, hitting, making mistakes, learning, unlearning and relearning,
Each one of us is a living, complex system with networked organs and functions. When are we going to bring this experience that we live every day through our own body to our existence and our role in the world?
If, as Lulu Santos (a famous Brazilian composer and singer) says, “nothing that has ever been will be the way it once was and everything changes all the time in the world,” why are we so afraid of change?
We don't have time to waste, my people! 2020 has arrived!
A brand new decade to exist and transform the reality around us. Because each one of us matters and can make a difference. Let's get out of our comfort zone, get our plans out of the drawer and make dreams come true!
All I want is that this new year finds us with a lot of health, joy, and energy to fight for the #FairCause that moves us. It is time to be on purpose and build the tomorrow that exists in us.
