Tom Peters Is Brilliant & Fun, Margaret Molloy On Simplicity & Brands, Walgreen’s Refrigerators, RAFA! Resilient Or Agile?

I caught up with Tom Peters, Margaret Molloy, Rafa Nadal, Mary Abbazia and Tom Spitale for an amazing brain tickle of conversations, ideas and keeping agile.

There is no excuse for anything less than really great & human design
-Tom Peters

The energy, positivity, brilliance, humour and sharpness lets you know you are in presence of Tom Peters. Mary Abbazia, Tom Spitale and I caught up with Tom Peters to see how he sees the world today. In this wide ranging conversation, we cover excellence in this world dominated by digital natives, why making excellence products and services is still the way to differentiate, the impact of social media and leadership for a chaotic world. This is a must watch conversation (35 Mins):

Siegle+Gale released its 9th Edition of World's Simplest Brands, an index of brand simplicity.

The Design Quotient Tom Peter's talks about is what all the brand experience is centered around.

However, you see so many leaders who don't understand the economic value of design leading to 'Digital Shabbyness'.

So I caught up with Margaret Molloy, the who I would call as 'The World's Simplifier'. An outstanding leader, passionate about inclusion and helping brands transform through simplicity. Simplicity is so central to my own focus on agility for strategy, leadership and organizations.?The world needs simplicity. This is a strategy principle, leadership capability and an economic value driver - but very few understand this.?

Simplicity is Clarity + Surprise
- Margaret Molloy
The correlation between design and digital is simplicity. Is Walgreens missing it?

Walgreens in embarking on an interesting experiment at the intersection of physical space and digital displays by having all its refrigerator doors as digital displays. As you walk closer to the refrigerator, it then shows the product availability inside, else the door is a large digital display that could potentially mean advertising revenue. Is this economic simplicity? Will this transform customer experience? Or the good old way to see what's in the fridge easier for the consumer and drives sales? Here is my 4 minute take on this from the March edition of Curious & Cuirky:

Is Rafael Nadal resilient or agile? A good question to think about your own company, leadership, strategy and organization.
