A deep dive into Tom Ford’s real estate empire shows he owns trophy homes in New York, LA, Palm Beach, Aspen, and the Hamptons. After the sale of his company to Estée Lauder last year for $2.8 billion, he added three more homes to his already impressive collection. Ford’s parents were both real estate agents, and his collection of today includes renowned homes with storied histories and modern marvels. This article from the WSJ dives into his portfolio (worth more than $250M). Of course, his Hamptons mansion and UES townhome are what caught my eye. What home are you most envious of??

NYC Insider: What’s Happening This Week?

Summer food markets are in full swing and I haven’t been making the most of it. Here are the top ones on my radar for August. My goal is to make it to two of them! If anyone has recs or wants to join, let me know!?

1. Queens Night Market : Every Sat in Flushing, this market serves diverse food with vendors from all over the world. Every item is capped at $6 and there’s live music which is always a big win in my books.?
2. Brooklyn Night Market : Of course I gotta support my own borough! This market takes place on the last Monday of every month (this month’s will be on Aug 26) at Industry City.?
3. Union Square Night Market : Tomorrow, Aug 1st is this market’s last day! Normally known for the holiday market in December, this summer night market is new to the neighborhood. It’s hosted by Urban Space so you know it’s legit.??

Don’t feel pressured to abandon your style or approach because it’s uncommon or unorthodox. In my own life, I was the original Steve Jobs, leaving Howard University early. My parents were devastated, and even though I didn’t have a concrete plan, I did have the hustle required to figure it out. Leaving college early felt right, so that’s what I did. It’s a good reminder to stand tall and stay committed to doing things your way. If it doesn't turn out as expected, that’s OK, because it was your choice and you can tweak, refine, and regroup.
