Tom Egan's NET WORTH-While #210: It Looks Like Buffalo Bills Player Will Make It; You, However, Will Not
In a miraculous turn of events, it appears as if injured Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin will not only survive, but he’s actually been released from the hospital.?From being on the brink of death (or maybe even beyond the brink once or twice) based on an impact that struck at a precise milli-second of maximum damage - to being able to walk, talk, and return home in less than two weeks - is astounding.?This reinforces my belief in miracles (and quick and competent medical treatment, proper personnel training, physical fitness, and luck).?
Eventually, however, all of us will reach the outcome that Damar narrowly avoided.?And perhaps as quickly, with no warning, inclination, or preparation.?Visualize that for a moment.?No time to get your affairs in order.?No time to mend a damaged relationship.?No time to say good-bye to loved ones.
Enough said.?Let’s be more optimistic and hope (and work toward) a happier ending, at the right time, being prepared and preparing others.?That means someone you trust knows what you have, where it’s at, and how you want it distributed.?Is that person your spouse??Your attorney or financial advisor??A friend??If the former or the latter, are those individuals knowledgeable enough to ask the right questions of the other two choices??Will your spouse or friend be comfortable and capable in their new role of being responsible for legal and financial matters??

More often than not, I believe the answer to the last question is no.?If that’s the case in your situation, let’s talk.?There is no time like the present – especially while you’re still in it.
