Tom Cruise reveals next Mission Impossible will involve disentangling EU Agricultural Policies

The M:I hit movie franchise enters its 28th year and keeps raising the stakes. Looking ahead at the tenth instalment, the star revealed principal filming has started in Strasbourg, Brussels, Strasbourg, Brussels, Strasbourg and again Brussels.

A spokesperson for the production team explains, "It's going to be absolutely f***ing awsome! After wrapping chapter 9 last year we all thought, how can we beat this? What would be really impossible for Ethan Hunt and his M:I crew?". He slams a heavy folder on the table. "This is CAP, the one document we all wish would self-destruct. CAP stands for Common Agricultural Policy and is the €400Bn mother of Gordian knots. It's ugly, counter-intuitive, paralyzing and even if it would work the way it intends to work it still wouldn't work. This is im-pos-si-ble."

He flicks through some of the storyboard artwork, revealing a few of the cliffhangers in the second and third acts. We see Ethan sprinting through the EU Commission auditorium's benches, cross-cutting to Benji (Simon Pegg) behind a laptop unlocking voting buttons of absent MP's just in time for Ethan to gather enough votes to block paralyzing legislation. We see Ethan landing a parachute onto a fast-moving fertilizer spreader, of which the farmer had lost control trying to maneuver it between a Natura2000 zone and rare bird nesting habitat. The final battle involves an against-the-odds marshland groundwater levelling action, balancing CO2 vs CH4 emission. Incredible stuff!

Release date to be confirmed soon, we can't wait.
