Tokyo's Biggest Fireworks In July
Contrary to popular belief, Tokyo's summer is not just about the heat. It is a time when the city comes alive with the unique joys of summer fireworks festivals and offers a delightful experience for tourists.
One of the most famous festivals is the Sumida River Fireworks Festival, a spectacle that draws millions of visitors each year and is a must-see event.
The festival is divided into two parts: Sakura Bashi Bridge and Kototoi Bashi Bridge.
Each offers different views. But people can enjoy these two parts of the festival from the same spot without moving.
Date: Saturday, July 27, 2024
Time: 19:00
About 20,000 fireworks will be launched—9,350 from the first venue and 10,650 from the second.
To enjoy it, arrive early.
Many people come in the morning. They bring Japanese obento from 7-Eleven and enjoy a picnic while waiting.
If you cannot arrive early, ask someone to keep a spot for you. Enjoy the picnic atmosphere, drink beer, gossip with friends, and take amazing photos.
Enjoy the show!
