Tokenisation -v- Artificial Intelligence -Future hackers will use machine learning to launch attacks

I have been studying Artificial Intelligence for quite some time, and it is becoming more and more apparent that PII/Financial Data/Assets/Wallets/Smart Contracts etc require to be intercepted and tokenised before it enters the infrastructure.

Machine learning algorithms will improve security solutions, helping human analysts triage threats and close vulnerabilities quicker. But they are also going to help threat actors launch bigger, more complex attacks.

Defined as the “ability for (computers) to learn without being explicitly programmed,” machine learning is huge news for the information security industry. It’s a technology that potentially can help security analysts with everything from malware and log analysis to possibly identifying and closing vulnerabilities earlier. Perhaps too, it could improve endpoint security, automate repetitive tasks, and even reduce the likelihood of attacks resulting in data ex-filtration.

Naturally, this has led to the belief that these intelligent security solutions will spot - and stop - the next WannaCry attack much faster than traditional, legacy tools. “It’s still a nascent field, but it is clearly the way to go in the future. Artificial intelligence and machine learning will dramatically change how security is done.

Or Will It?

How are cyber-criminals using machine learning?

The problem is, hackers know this and are expected to build their own AI and machine learning tools to launch attacks. Criminals are increasing organized and offering wide-ranging services on the dark web - are ultimately innovating faster than security defenses can keep up. This is concerning given the untapped potential of technologies like machine and deep learning.

Will Artificial Intelligence (AI) Stop Hacker Attacks?

The short answer is no. For decades, the police and drivers with lead feet have engaged in a war of radars and radar detectors. Every time police radar technology improves, so do radar detectors to outsmart it. The same is true with cybersecurity. Firewalls are strengthened. In turn, the technology that hackers use is also improved. It’s a never-ending cycle with criminals often gaining the upper hand.

It makes little sense to continue this way. That’s why many cyber security experts are focusing less on perimeter security and more on tokenising PII and financial data.

Don't Miss The Point!

The only way to connect/protect/secure in today's digital era is through intercepting the data and tokenising this prior to it entering your infrastructure. Artificial Intelligence CANNOT secure the most important valuable asset you have.

Once the data has been tokenised and secured safely in the Zortex Vault. The data token is useless to criminals. Tokenisation run parallel with AI can secure and protect your infrastructure. This is why it is so important to invest in tokenisation prior to AI.

It makes little sense to continue this way. That’s why many cyber security experts are focusing on data protection security through tokenisation. Always securing the most valuable asset that every government/health sector/companies DATA.

The point to all of this is hackers and cyber criminals have already built their own AI systems and is already 10 steps ahead! Value your data now through tokenisation and respect your customers/contacts/employees personal and financial data today.

Zortrex has it covered for compliance PCI DSS/HIPAA/HIPPA/FSA & GDPR. Do what is right and protect your customers/employees personal and financial data.
