Together'23 Experience

In my previous post, I mentioned the importance of Mentors and how my mentors helped us to deliver a compelling presentation for Together Mission , a Student Entrepreneurship Bootcamp & Venture competition. In this competition, the students of 加拿大约克大学 - 斯古里克商学院 help the promising start-ups of India to make an effective pitch to the judges to win the cash prize.

In this article, I will discuss my experience with Together'23 and how it helped me cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. It all started in the Fall Term when I was studying the subject Bringing Business Ideas to Life taught by Professor Chris Carder and Shray Kumar Bhatnagar . This subject gave me an insight into what it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur and taught me about developing pitches, making product-market fit, and how communicating with investors. To make this course material more immersive, I was given the opportunity to judge the past pitches of Together which allowed me to look at things from the judge's point of view.

In December, I was matched with my start-up run by Dr. Amitesh Khare, MD , I along with my teammates Prasoon Kumar and Divyansh Chaudhry worked together to help the start-up to develop an effective pitch. While developing the pitch deck we were also provided with mentorship sessions.

Although my start-up was not a part of the top-6, working in Together Mission was a totally different experience, and I am glad I had the chance to work with Dr. Amitesh Khare, MD , who helped me understand the healthcare sector in India and what the different challenges are for rural people. Finally, reminiscing about course #MGMT6905, I feel fortunate to have been a part of it, as I have been able to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. I would like to thank Professor Chris Carder for providing me with this experience.
