Rethinking CSR activities: ENGIE eco badges
We are proud to present the successful outcome of our collaborative project with ENGIE , the eco-badge initiative. This project signifies a breakthrough in the realm of corporate social responsibility. Innovative and effective, the eco badges are designed to easily make a substantial impact on environmental conservation.
We’ve created digital badges for ENGIE’s employees, each uniquely linked to a bottlenose dolphin from their conservation project in Dakhla Bay. These badges are not just symbols of environmental commitment; they are embedded with real bioacoustics data from the dolphins, derived from the research conducted by? AQUASEARCH SARL ?in Dakhla Bay, Morocco. This initiative is a significant part of ENGIE’s efforts to protect and study marine biodiversity in the area.
This initiative exemplifies how corporations can meaningfully incorporate environmental actions into their business operations and employee engagement strategies, making a significant contribution to global conservation efforts.

SNI on Stage: spreading the vision of a nature-positive future
Our team has been actively spreading our vision for a nature-positive future. Here’s a glimpse of where we’ve been and the inspiring work we’ve done:
Consensus 2024
Our CEO, Catherine Bischoff , participated in the Town Hall panel, “From Degen to Regen: Using Blockchains to Coordinate Environmental Action.” Alongside industry leaders like Lucía Gallardo (Emerge ), Steven Haft (Ethereum Climate Platform ), Jonathan Rackoff (The HBAR Foundation ), and Sandra Ro ???? (Global Blockchain Business Council ), Catherine explored how blockchain technology can track, trace, and incentivize collective environmental action. Their insights highlighted the transformative potential of blockchain in achieving our environmental goals.
ESG Lab & Society in Paris
Catherine Bischoff also joined the 5th ‘Regard Croisé’ (Crossed Views) event, where tech and finance leaders debated whether technology is a barrier or a catalyst for sustainable transition. With perspectives from Come Perpere (Microsoft France) and Aude Contamin (CDC Croissance), the discussion delved into the challenges and opportunities tech presents for sustainability. Catherine shared concrete examples from our work, demonstrating how technology can be harnessed to protect biodiversity.
ETH Prague
Our Marketing Lead, Rica Amaral , joined forces with blockchain visionaries like Gavin Wood and Vitalik Buterin to discuss “Imaging Eco-Futures: Empowering Nature Sovereignty through Tech Innovation.” Rica’s presentation underscored how technology and human stewardship can create sustainable eco-futures, emphasizing the critical role of innovation in our conservation efforts.
Conservation Standards Training
Our Head of Field Research & Partnerships, Alessandro Mazzi , completed an intensive Conservation Standards training. This week-long immersion enhanced our ability to leverage best practices and select relevant data and indicators for transparent communication and accountability. This rigorous framework helps us ensure that our conservation and restoration projects achieve their vision and goals.
