Understanding each generation, their needs, work values, and expectations can help align them and smooth the cooperation at work. There are always points of connection and intersections. For example, it was interesting for me that during the master, we had few interviews with digital natives and digital immigrants, and both of them gave a high mark of 4 or 5 out of 5 for the importance of technology at the workplace!! But from their answers, they saw it from different perspectives; digital natives focused on communication and remote work, and digital immigrants focused on it as a source of information or because their companies are related to this, such as the IT field. The article also mentioned another intersection, which is mentorship, as elder generations can be mentors, and at the same time they can also interact in focus groups and themselves get insights from younger generations. I think coaching may be used towards mitigating generational differences.
