Together. Forward. With Jeeves.

Almost one year as a Business Consult at Jeeves System and it has been a great journey with lots of work, fun adventures and wonderful colleagues to work with.

I have met so many interesting people, visit so many different organizations, have had workshops in which I have looked into different processes, asked thousands of questions and received lots of different angles and perspectives. One day it is paving stones, another day is very complexed technical manufacturing industries another day it is at a food company. I have been in meetings discussing everything from minor problems in the day-to-day work as a purchaser or in the warehouse to workshops with whole organizations to make actions plans and improvements and developments for the whole organization and all departments involved. I have loved it!

One fact is clear, I will never stop questioning how little one use the business system in an organization. How much money spent in it regarding how little knowledge about it one have. How few superusers there are in organizations and how much I just want to give them more knowledge them all how much they can achieve from it if they would just get more information. That will make their daily work much more easier and funnier. I have been working in Jeeves for almost 15 years before I started this journey. One thing is clear, READ THE MANUALS! And if you don't have any, make time to do them ;)

For me it has been a great journey this far and it has been lots of lessons to learn and most fun of all I am to be able to work with the same tool when I visit a new or existing customer. Even though Jeeves is a flexible and adaptable system which mean it sometimes has unique solutions at customers I still can see the red thread and directly know where I should look and where it might be good to start.

For me who has worked in so many different areas, sales, purchasing, stock control, masterdata and manufacturing, I have a great benefit in giving our customers the Why, How and Who. WHY do we work as we do today? HOW do we want to work tomorrow? And I think the most important thing is also to really know WHO we work with in our processes. I often speak about soccer but it has been a large part of my life that I have learned a lot from. I think we can have some great advice here too... that if I pass the ball to my team player which is right footed on the left, that is actually my fault because to learn each others skills and talents are something I think we should highly value in making winning teams. If we learn together, we grow together forward.

I am very thankful that I have got so much work experiences in my life because that gives me the perspective from a user perspective and I can easier understand their daily problems and wishes. I think.

Every day we come to work it all starts with our core program, as a mindset but with the tool we work in together. And of course I hope it is Jeeves!
