Today’s Quick Entertainment Notes

?? It was heartbreaking to learn that Atlanta didn’t make the final three cities for Sundance 2027 and beyond. While it was a long shot, making it to the final six out of 90 submissions -and having three Georgia communities in the top 15 - was still a major achievement. Everything happens for a reason, and the work put into the presentation and brand awareness has only strengthened Georgia's global reputation. Within the state, the collaboration among community leaders, elected officials and private industry has laid a foundation that will benefit us moving forward. As we often say—onward and upward!

?? ?? Education and workforce development were the themes at the sold out University System of Georgia’s Foundation Scholarship Gala last night. The event, held at the Town at Trilith was packed and included Governor Brian Kemp and numerous other dignitaries as money was raised to support scholarships. Central to the gala’s 20th anniversary celebration was film and entertainment as the Georgia Film Academy played a key role in the production of the event. I posted some pictures here and we will have more coverage soon.

?? In less than two weeks, we will hold our next?Signature Georgia Entertainment 100?and?Georgia Unscripted?event. It will be held in Columbus on September 25th at the spectacular Columbus Museum. The special affair will draw hundreds of the who’s who in entertainment including directors, producers, legislators, financiers and other creatives.?RSVP.
