Today's Quick Entertainment Notes

?? Since our return from Sundance, conversations about productions in Georgia have increased. Cars parked on the studios at Trilith, Eagle Rock, Tyler Perry Studios and others validate that production activity is on the move. We understand that Shadowbox has a few features with a TV series on the way and The Apple TV+ thriller Cape Fear is set to be filmed at Assembly Studios.

We are already nearing capacity for our events at SXSW. Our primary activation day is March 8 with two VIP activations. The events are presented by Cinelease Studios - Three Ring alongside supporting partners including Film Columbus GA, Moonshine Post, Reel Supplies, Trilith Institute, Fulton Films and others. The purpose? Affirm connections and meet new contacts making decisions about where their projects should be produced. Let us know if your organization would like to be a part of this effort. ?? Georgia’s legislative session has been active but mostly quiet on the creative industries front. We are monitoring House Bill 475 that dropped yesterday. Introduced by a strong advocate of Georgia’s film tax incentive, Representative Matt Gambill, the bill appears to be mostly administrative and aims to relieve resource drain on the relatively small Georgia Film Office - part of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Stay tuned for more in the coming days.

Til next time, onward and upward!!
