TODAY WAS A WONDERFUL DAY

I will own today, as this was a successful day. Owning a moment, a day, is something quite new to me. It has been an ongoing learning process as this has never been my way of thinking. I have had to learn, though the lessons and sharing of others, just how to feel comfortable with this new attitude. I must admit ... it feels good.

I have never been one to accept the beauty of the moment and embrace it without looking so far forward that I lose sight of that which I have just experienced. I have always been an "over thinker." To experience something positive and proceed to analyze it until I have lost the joy of the moment has always been my thought process.

Today, I have chosen, through listening and learning from others, to live in the moment; to accept and embrace a good day ... period.

Today was a day in which I felt I did my best, let things I had no control over go and allow myself the right to own this day and all the good feelings which it brought.

We each possess the ability to change our way of thinking if we remain open to learning, trying, processing and making a conscious decision as to whether this is how we wish to embrace life.

Yes, today was a good day ... I enjoyed it, I embraced it, I owned it and I closed the day on a positive note. With a quick glance back, it was only to see how far I have come.

Tomorrow is a new day. Yesterday is over. I will begin tomorrow, as I did yesterday ... with the same fresh and positive outlook - to do my best and own its outcome. I have no preconceptions as to it being anything other than a beautiful day. However I experience it will be my choice to embrace the good, and, if so, the not so good experiences it brings.

Life is an ongoing learning process. If we cease to learn, we cease to grow. Without this attitude, life becomes bleak.

I no longer choose to live my life without making an honest attempt to deal with life's difficulties and allowing it to "color" the good which each day has to offer.
