Great show lined up today folks, Mark Howe is going to join us shortly after 12 noon, EST. Got lots to cover with the Hall of Famer including getting an update on his legendary father; talking about his career culminating in a great acceptance speech, I've solicited questions on line, we have a few of those and of course how he views the game today as he scouts all of the action.
A former local defenseman, ( Metcalfe Jets-Nepean Raiders) former CIAU football lineman turned professional wrestler and still busy with that for many local charities, my good friend Wayne Cryderman joins us today and among the topics, we'll discuss the role of the WWE on the entertainment/sports landscape, how he sees it with their trials and tribulations, are they still a solid, viable enterprise, as he sees it.
The New York Islanders are quickly fashioning one of the late springs better stories in the NHL playoffs. Part of that has been due to the play of Alan Quine a local Ottawa man who has mostly played on the top line, who scored one of the biggest goals in this young playoff year and assisted on the series winner the very next game!! Alan's father Sean is a good friend of mine, he joins us today to talk about the journey, not only the ride now but the ride to get there through the minor hockey experience. Maybe we'll get a little shout out to the Stittsville men's league where Sean and I first met on the ice many years ago. :)
