Today marks a new and exciting next chapter in my career

After 27 years working for large businesses today marks the next chapter in my career as I start my own safety consulting business, SGM SAFETY CONSULTING PTY LTD. As Director and Principal Consultant at sgm safety consulting I will assist clients develop and implement their safety programs and initiatives; audit and embed their safety management systems; coach and develop their leaders; write effective policies, procedures, codes of practice and publish professional reports.

A Certified OHS Professional holding a Master in Science (OHS) with Distinction. I am a post graduate qualified Occupational Health and Safety leader with background in the high-risk industries of transport and logistics, manufacturing and engineering. I have a proven track record in leading change and delivering tangible improvements in safety performance and culture, driven by an authentic safety leadership and robust risk management approach.

I lead by the right example in promoting a "safety excellence is business excellence" philosophy having saved millions of dollars from workers compensation premiums in my last two roles. I have a friendly, proactive approach to work with an optimistic outlook on life. I actively involve others through a collaborative management and decision-making style winning people over to gain their commitment and ownership.
