TODAY MARCH 14 IS PI DAY. MY PI DAY POEM PUBLISHED BY MIRROR WEEKLY Full Circle by Cesar Polvorosa, Jr.
Cesar Jr. Polvorosa
Professor at Algoma University, Writer - business, economics and literary
Without a beginning, without an end,
its meaning swept by the wind.
The line never ends as it girdles the globe unceasingly.
I have traveled the full route.
Journeys stretched to endless horizons
for by my compass, the direction
is devoid of difference or compassion.
The creatures of the earth revert to minerals.
Rains return to the mother sea.
The time and tide follow a primal mind.
This is the song, the rhythm and resonance
that entwine the universe.
A lifetime is but a twinkling of an eye
in a succession of relentless waves upon the shore
but each one saving for the highest as it reaches land.
In every turn a chance to be fastest
when we light our torch.
When at last we emerge from the labyrinth,
from the seemingly endless wanderings in the desert,
when the candles of the night have burnt out
comes the day of the everlasting sun.
Without a beginning, without an end,
we all come home to the Source.
We have come full circle.
