What To Do When Your Childhood Catches Up With You

Remember when you were invincible on your bike and rode as fast the wind?! Then in less than a blink of an eye, you found yourself on the ground with scrapes, bruises, maybe even a broken arm. But that was okay, I was faster than all those boys I was racing!
Speed up time, and those memories, as fun as they are to remember in our minds, our bodies remember them too! One of my clients last week mentioned that places where there were old, healed injuries now seems to stiffen faster and move slower. Yet, at the same time she, and myself, and I know others, don’t want to slow down.
There are many options today that we can take full advantage of: a great bodyworker and personal trainer, pilates classes and yoga. Many of these outlets that are available to maintain one’s physical abilities are typically low cost, fun, and a tried and true way to increase flexibility, strength and stamina.
So, when your body reminds YOU of those wonderful fun filled memories of your dare devil days, dare not to back down and keep moving forward.
