Sewing Machine Day remembers that on June 13, 1790, the Englishman Thomas Saint received the patent for the first workable sewing machine.
The sewing machine has become one of the symbols of the Industrial Revolution, representing the transition from traditional manual labor to automated production.
Even a company that can look back on centuries of tradition once started small. Since 1864, we have been successfully developing at the highest level what holds much of the world together. Today, we are a broad-based, globally active textile group. Our goal both then and now: the perfect seam!
