Today I Shall Not Let Pass

Birds above flew away,

Empty blue skies reigned,

Nature resigned in silence,

As the heavens wept

The day you left

For the future past.

Why did you have to go?

What can make you stay?

We have so much to live for,

So many things yet to do,

Many words not yet said.

Tears flow down my face

Joining the rain

Making a river to the past.

Time paused

So this day will not pass;

Holds still memories of yesterdays

Bringing joyful moments of happy days

Reminding our endless days of joy.

Will they ever come again?

Time stood still

For just one more day with you,

To relive our yesterdays;

To hold your hand once more,

And to hold you in my hands.

I want to touch you again,

To kiss you and see your smiles

And to give you all of my love;

I missed you so much.

Over many seasons of our time,

We shared timeless moments in our life.

On one very special moment,

You opened my heart again

To love you and this life,

Opening my eyes

To discover God’s rich blessings

Throughout moments of my life.

We will never be far apart

For every time I think of you,

You are always in my heart.

Time lingers

For me to accept

That you are already gone.

Thoughts of you remained

So real I never know

That I am now all alone.

What shall I do?

Whom shall I call?

When shall we chat?

Time stretches this day

To the longest day in my life;

Tomorrow will find you gone;

Tomorrow will start without you;

Today I shall not let pass.
