Today Was A Good Day

I am absolutely delighted to announce that, today, I commenced work for Mint Accounting. I am really excited to be joining a growing business that offers real value-add services in a role which will be incredibly varied and with great potential! My primary focus in the short term will involve generating sales for one of our other businesses, The Scottish Home Show, which sounds like it will be a lot of fun! 

Whilst going through redundancy is not ideal, I've been incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunities to reflect on my career, spend time focusing on what I really want to do moving forward and enjoy precious time with my wife and our wonderful baby daughter. I have learned a great deal over the last few months, particularly the value of effective networking and I have made some fantastic new connections along the way. Through hard work, a positive attitude and help from a lot of people, I feel that I have finally landed the right opportunity. One I am proud to say has been effectively created out of nothing.

There are too many people to thank individually, but sincerely, to all of you who went out of your way to listen to my story, share a coffee, introduce me to a new contact, share job opportunities and so on, THANK YOU!!!! In an effort to give something back (with the help from someone who is doing some great work at the moment, Iain Hamilton) I am in the process of preparing some content, detailing some of the things I've learned during this process, in the hope that I might be able to help someone else in the future. I look forward to sharing this soon and seeing what you think.
