Today.....
Today I feel like David against Goliath going into war;
On my own with a tentative victorious sword.
Although emotions will run high, it's the right thing to do,
Stand up and fight, always speak the truth.
In life people have let me down in so many different ways,
I have spent much of my life waiting, months, hours and days.
Putting others in front and leaving me behind, but now I am putting me at the front of the line.
It might seem strange to some who have always had their way, but I don't care and I am not afraid to say.
Whatever happens today and all the paths going forth; Claudette Susan Webley will no longer be naught.
I will sing, I will laugh, I will dance around, I will rip my clothes off and throw them on the ground.
For the freedom I feel I will never apologise for; I step out today - knowing 'I Am More'.
