Today was a big day

Today was a big day.?
I ran outside in our new neighborhood for the first time since moving in June.?
The practicality is that I’m running a 4-miler on Thanksgiving with my 14 year old cross country athlete and don’t want her to smoke me too badly.?
Figuratively, this is a sign of settling.?
Much of the movement in my body for the past 10 months has been at the service of moving. Sorting, packing, unpacking, repacking, repositioning, carrying things up and down SO. MANY. STAIRS.?
I hit 10,000 steps most days without leaving the confines of my home.?
Who needs to run when you have that type of workout built into your day??
Now we are fully moved in to our new home.
The furniture is delivered and assembled.?
Pictures are hung on the walls.
The outdoor space is complete with rocking chairs, grill and a hot tub.?
Three boxes remain unpacked. I know exactly what is in them, why I haven’t unpacked them, and I’m okay with that!?

I feel settled.
...and I don’t have to live in service of my house and can simply start to live.?
Today that started with a 3 mile run in my neighborhood.
That’s a big day.?
It’s also a big day because in addition to this return to intentional physical activity, I’m embarking on a 6-month mental fitness mastery journey with Positive Intelligence that started today.?
I have an epic quest planned as part of this 6-month journey, and I'm going to blow the dust off of this newsletter and share more as the journey continues.?
For today, I will enjoy sitting on my front porch.?
I will listen to the birds in the woods behind my house.?
And maybe take a dip in the hot tub at the end of the day to relax my tired legs.?
