According to an article in jointogether.org (www.drugfree.org/join-together/presence-volunteer-sober-groups-spreading-music-festivals/) Sober music support groups got their start with Grateful Dead fans in the 1980s. The group, called Wharf Rats, used yellow balloons at concerts to signal where they were located for those who wanted to enjoy the festivities drug free. That symbol is still used. Groups may also offer meetings during the event. Check ahead!
