# A Toast to Our Associate Members
The English Whisky Guild
Association of Whisky Distilleries of England, set up to promote English Whisky
On 11th Jan 2024, we held our inaugural meeting of our Associate Members at the Headquarters of Briggs of Burton, one of our founding EWG Associate Members. It was a wonderful event that brought together our English whisky community and celebrated our passion for the craft.
Our Associate Members are an essential pillar of the Guild and the English whisky sector. They are part of a select group of key suppliers who support and serve the industry with their valuable products and services. Offering their insights and knowledge to help us deliver on our bold ambitions for the English Whisky category.
We had a lively and informative discussion on the current state and future trends of the English whisky industry. We learned about the challenges and opportunities that we face in a competitive and dynamic market. Briggs also kindly delivered a series of short presentations to showcase their current distilling projects, as well as their future products and services to support the sector’s sustainable roadmap.

We also had the pleasure of touring the facilities of Briggs of Burton, a leading engineering company that has been providing innovative solutions for the brewing and distilling industries for over 270 years. We were impressed by their expertise and dedication to excellence, and we are grateful for their generous hospitality and support.
One of our main objectives is to create a collaborative approach across the value chain with our Associate Members. We want to build and grow the English whisky category both in terms of value and volume. We believe that by working together, we can achieve more than by working alone, and we can create a strong and vibrant English whisky community together.
We would like to thank all our Associate Members for attending the meeting and for their valuable contributions to our Guild. We look forward to working with our Associate Members throughout 2024 and beyond, in partnership to advance the interests and reputation of English whisky, both at home and abroad. Cheers! ??
