As a business leader, there are many things you can do such as engaging in dialogue about unconscious bias, providing leadership development opportunities to colleagues, and/or implementing recruitment best practices. By writing your own pledge, you are committing to creating a culture of belonging to ensuring race equity in the workplace.
The Allyship Pledge is to support and advocate for racial equity in the workplace. It acknowledges points of action ranging from showing up in solidarity, engaging in meaningful dialogues, allocating resources, to holding oneself and others accountable. The pledge acknowledges the importance of individual, organisational, and collective responsibility in creating lasting systemic change.
