TMF Kickoff 2019

TMF Kickoff 2019

Last week, we held our annual kickoff meeting in Dallas. Every year, I have seriously mixed feelings about this event. On one hand, I hate the kickoff for the first three weeks of the year. Coming off the relaxation of the holidays, we shift straight into high gear as we work feverishly to compile data from the year we've just closed, to create presentations and to hone the message related to our focus in the coming year. However, I truly love the kickoff from the moment the actual event starts on the afternoon of the third Thursday of the year all the way to December 31st. It sets the tone for the year and enables us all to remain committed to a common goal.

Convening everyone in the company to review what worked, what didn't and how we will continue to improve is energizing. After 18 kickoff parties, I still struggle to describe how my heart swells when I see TMF'ers having their hard work and success recognized and celebrated in such a visible and fun way. Congratulations to all of our winners!

We also welcomed two new faces to The Medicus Firm's Founder's Club (those who have been with the company for 10+ years) which was an added benefit. Congratulations Kateri Shirley and Mark Lozano! That brings our total number of Founder's Club members to 18!

Thank you to everyone for your time and attention during the meetings. Thank you for not falling asleep during Bob Collins' parts of the presentation. Thanks to our teammates for flying in from Atlanta and other parts of the country; I know Thursday was a long day for you. A special thank you to Kelly Cook, Krista Jackson, Megan Williams, Emily Lowe, Savannah Higginbotham, Stephanie Foust, Deb Kasten, Tasha Williams, Sheryl Dinsch, Kateri Shirley, Mary Glover and everyone else who worked tirelessly to pull off what, in my opinion, was the best kickoff ever.

Related to 2019, I'll close by saying we have a special group of incredibly talented people doing amazing things on behalf of our clients and the physicians and APC's with whom we work. With the team we have assembled and our commitment to success on our clients' behalf, there is no limit to what we can achieve. Bloom where you are planted. Let's go.
