What’s up Kaizenovators, Happy Tuesday Two Minute Drill. Today's topic of conversation is Medicare. With Medicare, we know that they only cover chiropractic adjustments of the spine. It is a travesty, a disgrace, driven by politics and bureaucracy.
The Fight for Fairness
There are ways that we can fight it, which I'll get to in a second. But right now, what's happening is that private insurers, like large insurance companies, are now telling doctors like us how to diagnose.?
Yes, they're telling us that we should diagnose in a certain hierarchy based on the Medicare guidelines, even though the Medicare guidelines around reimbursement are incredibly restrictive.?
They don't care about the patient's clinical condition. They don't care about the clinical hierarchy of diagnosing appropriately. It is the most anti-patient-centered thing.?
So, how do we solve this problem? Well, we solve this problem by solving Medicare.?
How do we solve Medicare??

We do it by calling relentlessly, emailing relentlessly, and hounding relentlessly our federal elected officials in our districts and getting them to sign on and be co-sponsors of the Medicare Modernization Act.?
You can find out who your representatives are online. You can use this link to contact your legislator //www.acatoday.org/medicare.
You can go to the ACA website or maybe even the ICA website, find this information, and reach out. Tell them they need to reform Medicare because it's affecting providers, and most importantly, this travesty is affecting patients not even in the Medicare system.?
The whole thing's a disgrace. The only way we get this done is if every single chiropractor does their part to reach out to their elected officials.?
Please, reach out, be relentless, and let's solve this Medicare issue once and for all.?
That's this week's Two Minute Drill.?
Reach out, be relentless. I'll talk to y'all next week.?
