What’s up Kaizenovators, happy Tuesday Two Minute Drill! I’m actually on a ferry right now. I’m visiting some of our app customers sharing ideas, being creative, and talking about something that’s really important. Today’s topic of conversation is?FOCUS.
Focus
Right behind me is Cape May, New Jersey, and then over yonder is going to be Lewis, Delaware that we’re landing in. I am having a great day. I am actually visiting some of our app customers and having great conversations with them, sharing ideas, being creative, and talking about something that’s really important, which is?focus.
I tend to be a pretty creative person. I tend to be a bit scatterbrained; a bit ADD. But at the end of the day, I said something that was really important that I’m going to continually tell myself, which is the more we focus, the faster we go.
I’ve been one historically where I’ve had a lot of ideas and tried a lot of different things all at the same time. As we go through this process of building our businesses and understanding what really works for us in our teams, what I’m learning is that focus means we go faster. Focus means we have a higher level of intention. Focus means that everybody is rowing in the same direction to achieve the same goal, the same north star metric.
So, while I was giving advice, I was also taking my own advice. As we continue to evolve our practices, as we continue to evolve our lives, what are the most important things that we really need to be thinking about in order to create change and achieve our goals? And ultimately at the end of the day, if we’re not changing, we’re not growing and we’re not getting to the goals that we want to get to.
So, focus is the operative word for me. I’m going to continue to focus really hard on being focused.
I hope you all take this advice and do the same because focus will help you go faster.
You guys have a great week and I talk to you all next week.

2 年Another great message Dr J. Focus is powerful for sure. Truth be told though, I was struggling to focus on you with the gorgeous blue sky and ocean wakes in the background.
