TLS Continuum Management Tip #3: Symptoms are the faults we observe (Bob Sproull)
Daniel (Dan) Bloom SPHR, SSBB
Empowering the transition to strategic HR operations in business
?Review our edition titled mirror, mirror on the wall. The problem is that we do not always see the problems unless we look for them. That is the reason for the Gemba Walk. You observe the symptoms of the problem by walking the process and seeing first-hand what is holding up the process. Professor Richard Feynman stated it best when he said I don’t see a problem but that does not mean there is no problem.
?Be careful to not let your biases get in the way of seeing the problems (the system constraints). Our biases tend to make us see things as we want them to be. We avoid the uncomfortable path of seeing things that move us away from an environment of stability. ?Processes are experiments and experiments have unexpected errors that need to be addressed.
?Need assistance with your own journey down the TLS Continuum?
