OUR NEW OUTLET STORE AT THE MALL LUTON!

We are so proud to finally share, that behind the scenes we have been working on a new charity project and here it is!

Welcome to The Lewis Foundation Outlet at Luton Point - Opening Saturday 18th May 2024 at 9.30am. Find us next to Tesco in the Mall.

As a charity we can't thank enough the team enough from taking this from talking about it as an idea and now it is happening.

The level of support, time and kindness you have given us to make this a reality is something we will never forget and is gratefully appreciated by us and we know it will be by the cancer patients in hospital who will be on the receiving end of this support.

As always thanks to the incredible Goldings Communications for all your PR support and connections you have used to support us in this journey.

The outlet shop replicates the model of the one in Northampton, in that even though we are a charity shop we continue to sell only brand new, branded items at up to 50% cheaper than RRP.

These items have been kindly been donated to us by businesses as part of our ongoing surplus stock campaign. This means every purchase you make goes to funding our work of providing free care packages and support to adult cancer patients in hospital.

* It is a benefit to businesses who are recycling in a new way and also giving back to the community.

*Customers are getting branded items at a lower prices.

* It provides us with a sustainable source of income, which means we can continue to do our work of supporting cancer patients in hospital.

It's a win win for everyone!

If you are in the Luton area please come and visit us to make a purchase or find out more about how you can get involved.

You can also shop online: www.thelewisfoundationoutlet.com - Click and Collect available from the store or UK home delivery available.

We look forward to welcoming you to the store!

OUR WONDERFUL SUPPORTER FRAN RUNNING IN MEMORY OF HER MUM

Huge thank you to one of our incredible long term supporters Fran who continues to fundraise and raise awareness of our work at The Lewis Foundation.

This year Fran will be taking part in the Chester Marathon, her first one to raise funds for our work.

Fran shared why she is supporting The Lewis Foundation.?

“I will be fundraising for The Lewis Foundation, who were a ray of sunshine to my Mum, Adrianna during her chemotherapy journey.

This INCREDIBLE charity provides free gift packs and support to adults going through cancer treatment in hospitals across the Midlands. When I ran my last race in 2019, I asked Mum who I should run for, and she chose The Lewis Foundation. So when I signed up to Chester, I knew what I had to do.

I have wanted to run a marathon for so long, and wanted to honour this amazing charity by doing so. What will get me through all of the training is to think of all those resilient and wonderful people going through treatment, and how much charities like The Lewis Foundation make a daily difference.

£3.60 funds one gift pack for an adult cancer patient. There are so many amazing worthy charities, but if you can spare the cost of a coffee to help out this amazing cause, I would be so grateful."

Thank you Fran for making a difference.

HOW LEGACY GIVING MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Legacy giving is always a delicate topic for us to discuss. It often comes with the sad news of a supporter passing away due to cancer. While this brings us sadness, we are deeply grateful to those who choose to support The Lewis Foundation by leaving a legacy gift. Even after they're gone, these supporters continue to make a significant impact by helping others through their cancer treatment.

Recently, we received a donation of £1,181.30 collected at a funeral in memory of someone our charity had supported. This generous gift will be used to fund 328 of our gift packs, touching the lives of 328 cancer patients in hospitals. It's a beautiful tribute to the person who has passed, and it speaks to the lasting legacy they have left behind.

Though we don't know their full story or which hospital our services were received in, we do know that our work made a positive impact, leading to this gift in memory. We are incredibly thankful for this kindness and the difference it will make in the lives of so many.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, hospital staff, and supporters who contribute to making an impact on the lives of those diagnosed with cancer.
