HAPPY FRIDAY FROM THE LEWIS FOUNDATION
As our charity packs start to flow back out to the different hospitals that we support across the Midlands area, it was great today to visit Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust , Oncology at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust and Lincoln County Hospital Macmillan and Breast Unit.
At Sherwood Forest Hospital based in Nottinghamshire, our packs make their way to day patients and inpatients. With the support of the fantastic Macmillan team who co-ordinate this, alongside the hospital volunteers enables patients to access our packs at the hospital.
Northampton General Hospital our packs are placed on our gift shelf next to the reception desk. This means once you have checked in for your appointment, you help yourself to a gift of the shelf. These packs have kindly been funded by our fantastic supporter Scott Bader Commonwealth who make it possible.
At Lincoln County Hospital our gift packs are distributed within the Breast Unit, Macmillan Info Pod and to wards within the hospital setting as and when needed. We could not do this without the fantastic support of the hospital staff who do this on our behalf.
We love seeing and hearing about the joy the work we are doing brings, which we could not do without your support. Huge thank you for being a part of making a difference!

ANEESH RUNS LOVE LUTON RUN FEST IN AID OF THE LEWIS FOUNDATION
Huge thank you to Aneesh Patel who is running Love Luton RunFest in aid of our charity today.
Aneesh choose to support The Lewis Foundation for the following reasons:
I came across the Lewis Foundation at one of their store fronts in the Luton Point. I got chatting to the founders of the charity who told me about all the wonderful work they do for adult cancer patients and was touched by their story.?
Having seen first hand the journey people have to go through with cancer I felt it would be good to raise some money for this great charity.
Aneesh has raised £500 funding over 138 gift packs for cancer patients.
Please show him your support and if you would like to donate, head to: https://www.justgiving.com/page/aneesh-patel-love-luton-run-fest-2024

Thank you to everyone who has come into the store over the last year to support us. It makes such a difference to the people on the receiving end of your support.

OUR VOLUNTEERS - BEHIND THE SCENES
Busy day behind the scenes at our charity The Lewis Foundation this week.
* Donated items of surplus stock received from businesses making their way into our unit.
* Donated items being sought, inputted on our system, packaged and ready be delivered to our outlet stores in Northampton & Luton at the end of the week.
* Items being picked for our gift packs (we offer a choice of 29 different packs) that will be packaged by one of our long term corporate supporters Morrisons Produce in Thrapston/Rushden. The packs completed by them will make their way to Nottingham City Hospital and Queens Medical Centre.
Huge thank you to Natalie, Janice, Gill, Lynne and Keith for sorting everything behind the scenes so we can raise funds and get our packs out to adult cancer patients at the hospitals we support. We could not do this without the amazing support of the team members that make up The Lewis Foundation.
