KING RICHARD COURT VOLUNTEERING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
King Richard's Court is a assisted living home. The residents themselves still give their time, to help local causes such as our ourselves.
We have received a lovely message from our friends at King Richard Court, Northampton - regarding the importance of volunteering and supporting The Lewis Foundation.
Sheila Hollowell a resident at the home said:
â€Here at King Richard Court, we can’t go out volunteering, but for a long time we have been making blankets for the Lewis Foundation. Our latest lot yet to be delivered are on display as our contribution for the Kingâ€
Well done to all their volunteers that have taken part.
HOW YOUR DONATIONS MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
?"The care packs from the lewis foundation are absolutely amazing. To have something to take your mind of the treatment and the worry is great. I was lucky enough to not have a pack due to being admitted and I only had them on my chemo days. I also had letter in one pack and it was so lovely.
Thank you doesn't seem enough, but you are all amazing!!?"
This is why the work we do matters, when we receive feedback like the one above.

GIFT GIVING THIS WEEK TO THE HOSPITAL
All the support you give us - the donations (money and products), the time gifted through volunteering and spreading the word about what we do with others, makes our work possible.
That is why we are able to brighten the day of those going through cancer treatment by giving patients a choice of gift and our time - to help pass the time, provide comfort and let them know that people care. Watch Lee's video below during one of his hospital visits this week at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
Thank you for supporting us and letting people know they are not forgotten and that they matter.
