OUR GIFT PACKS MAKING THEIR WAY TO CANCER PATIENTS AT CAMBRIDGE HOSPITAL

We are proud of our partnership with Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust providing our gift packs for free to several wards and day units within Addenbrooke’s Hospital. We started providing our gift packs to this hospital in 2022.

We have loved receiving pictures from the hospital - CUH Cancer Support Service for sharing that our gift packs are available in the Oncology and Radiotherapy Waiting areas to be accessed on arrival for treatment.

Thank you so much for raising awareness and championing our cause. We love being able to support you.

If you have received one of our packs at Addenbrooke’s hospital, please do get in touch - [email protected] and let us know.

We are building up a bank of testimonials to share with our supporters and funders, who make these donations possible.?

GIFT GIVING AT Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

"After coming round from my mastectomy at KGH I had one of The Lewis Foundation packs by my bed. To say it was a lovely surprise would be an understatement. I was so touched (and still am) at receiving such a thoughtful gift. My pack contained shower gel, deodorant, lip balm, sanitary towels, underwear and other useful products. Whilst having chemotherapy, the selection of packs available, were so useful. Some contained quiz books/reading material others contained blankets and so much more. I have recently been to NGH in readiness for radiotherapy. I was so pleased to see a shelf full of packs for people to help themselves too. I would like to say a huge "thank you" to The Lewis Foundation, and I will never forget the joy I felt when I woke up to see the pack you left me." Helen Vowles, Patient Feedback

When you receive a message like this about the impact of our charity The Lewis Foundation, it confirms why the work being done to support adult cancer patients in hospital is essential.

We have to showcase the impact, to enable the people who support to see that every donation made and time given is making a difference to the recipient.

It is messages like that that personally motivate us to dig deep and keep going on this mission to make a difference to cancer care in the hospital setting. We visited Kettering General Hospital this week visiting people having chemo & inpatients on the cancer wards.

How you can be a part of making a difference like this?

The average cost of one of our gift packs (all branded, brand new and you choose from a list of 29 gift packs of what you would like) costs £3.60. A price of a coffee.?
