TLD's and DDoS - are you protected?

TLD's and DDoS - are you protected?

With ICANN 63 in the wonderful City of Barcelona fast approaching, the TLD community is busy making plans. What seminars shall we attend? What workshops shall we go to? What's the latest on GDPR? and most importantly - where's the best tapas in town (answer to that is here in case you were wondering!) I've blogged in the past about some the challenges facing TLDs on all things performance but increasingly the risk of a DDoS attack at the infrastructure layer keeps many Network Managers awake at night.

Oracle Dyn has long since provided anycast DNS services and all flavours of traffic steering and failover solutions and, since earlier this year, we have moved firmly into the Edge Security Services space through our acquisition of a market-leading security company. (written by our GM and VP Product Strategy, Kyle York)

We've always provided robust mitigation at the DNS layer and the enhanced product portfolio now covers network layer, application layer, API security and sophisticated Bot Management capabilities.

Many companies will offer some of the above, some may offer much of the above but very few can offer you all of the above. Oracle Dyn gives you a comprehensive defence against the three main attack areas. Namely the DNS layer for that initial interaction with an entity, the application stack for the service itself, and your network infrastructure it all runs on. To use a well-worn cliche, we are offering you "one throat to choke" for all your protection!

As you would expect from us, all services are delivered fully managed, giving you access to our many years of experience and expertise, with global SOC and NOC teams offering the requisite 24/7 support. 2am on a Sunday and the Bad Actors are having a party at your network expense? Not a problem - our guys are awake, ready and primed for the fight!

Running a country code is no mean feat and is in itself a full time job - the more protection the better. The less distractions the better. The better the supporting services you have, the better.

To use a (sort of) relevant analogy, tapas.... We all love a bit of skewered chicken or a flame grilled octopus but how much better is a selection of many and varied dishes, all deliciously prepared and served at exactly the right time? Oracle Dyn is the tapas of the edge security services world - we have it all ready when you are. You can select as much, or as little as you need and at any time add the "extras".

I'll be in Barcelona and have my "menu" open and ready for discussions so tweet me, mail me, give me a call and let's peruse the choices together! [I recommend the WAF with a side order of bot manager and a tall glass of summat punchy ;) ]

?Hasta pronto!
