tl;dr: I’m the Director of Product at @AWeber now. I love the team here and I can’t wait to solve all sorts of problems and make email more AWesome.

When I first entered AWeber to face the twin slides and smiling faces that greet every visitor, I had absolutely no idea what an amazing adventure I was getting myself into or what an awesome thing email is (trust me). Over the past 2.5 years, I’ve had the honor of working with the design team as Creative Director. During that time I’ve seen the designers stretch themselves to learn things they never thought they’d learn and take responsibility & ownership for solving problems that were well beyond their job descriptions. I learned something new about being a leader, designer, & good team member every single day, and I’m grateful as all get out for the patience & heart the team puts into their work.

My team is just one example of a company that is dedicated to creating remarkable experiences for customers and each other. I’ve never experienced a team that was so focused on continuously improving & truly concerned with the development & well-being of the team. Not only is the environment collaborative & supportive, but the group also cares very much about accountability, where we commit to things that make a difference & deliver what we commit to.

One of my favorite things in my time so far at AWeber has been building neat stuff with the design team; from an email virtual pet using our automations, to a polling tool that’s been used by thousands of folks. I’ve always had an interest in building tools that solve problems, & AWeber has afforded me the chance to do that whenever I saw an opportunity.

It’s that particular passion that has lead me down the latest path at AWeber. I’ve recently taken on the responsibility of director of product. In this role I get to work with a team of some of the smartest, most customer-focused product managers I’ve ever met. Together we get to solve a vast array of problems, all with the singular focus of making our customers’ businesses & projects more successful. That’s a tremendous responsibility & an amazing opportunity.
