TL;DR: Anyone can transform!

TL;DR: Anyone can transform!

Happy weekend, Friends!

I had a pleasure speaking with executives of a new industry entering Digital Transformation (DX). 9 out of 10 will fail - but none need to! May I offer a practitioner’s advice on planning your DX:

  • DX is a marketing concept based on applied science of Organizational Development (OD). (Psst, it’s about people! Not Kafka or GraphQL)
  • DX aims to attain a perpetual, self-sustaining cycle rather than a series of static plateaus. See 'Bezonomics' Review: Spinning the Flywheel as an instance example. (The Wall Street Journal)
  • Self-empowerment fueled by policy enablement accomplishes intricate relationship between brand and brand culture transforming employees into brand ambassadors. This culture is not just about creating a conducive environment but about attracting the right kind of talent who can think independently and innovate. You can read more about it here.
  • Finally, the "Core Domain" is the real engine of change in any business. Meaningful transformation, especially in the context of DX, cannot be accomplished unless the Core Domain of the business is fundamentally transformed to integrate sales and marketing, customer experience, and technology. Technology alone isn’t sufficient for real change to occur.

Anyone can consult transformation even more profitably today! And every transformation can chance in a Google-like competent company rebirth and market domination. All that’s required is some competence, dedication, and positivity!

Business is positivity! Through business - the most natural of human activities - we elevate others by delivering the value they seek. Each one of us does business every day by living our lives. Our only obstacle is EGO!

I recommend this video for a healthy perspective:

"Our only obstacle is EGO" - boy isn't that the truth... I was just listening to one of the more recent podcasts from Simon Sinek where he rightfully stated that humans are the only species that have to work hard at being humans (i.e. cat's don't have to). To add one more thing here that would follow what John Maxwell was talking about. Positivity is a quality and a related skill is attitude. Since most of the things in our lives that we need to succeed is in our control and sill, such as Attitude is something we can train. In business (this as you wonderfully point out also includes our day-to-day lives) training to have good attitude is critical.
