Are the titles Business Development Executive & Business Development Representative the same?

A common practice is to combine sales and company development because they are both considered as extensions of one another.?

That's not the case, though.

The titles Business Development Executive & Business Development Representative are not the same; both of the titles have different roles and responsibilities.

?A Business Development Executive is also called a Sales Development Representative. Let us discuss each :

Business Development representative-

  • BDR stands for business development representative. In general, a BDR's job is to locate appropriate prospects, assist the sales team in setting up meetings with possible customers, and support the company's sales pipeline.?

  • Business development representatives open up new markets for the company's products and services.?

  • Development of services and bolstering of current commercial partnerships are additional duties of BDR.

Sales Development Representative/ Business Development Executive?

  • A sales team member called a sales development representative (SDR) is in charge of reaching out to prospects, making connections with possible clients, and qualifying leads.?
  • Sales development representatives are mostly in charge of communicating with prospects and determining whether they are a suitable fit for the company rather than closing deals.

Navigating between SDEs & BDRs is like balancing art & science ?? Remember, as Warren Buffett said, it's about predicting rain & building arks. #GrowthMindset #Strategy
