The Title Should Be
On 09.24.2018 there was an article in Advisen news titled "Conn. public utilities fend off up to 10 million cyber threats each week." It is interesting that Connecticut, of all states, should appear in a news headline and there are other observations that can be drawn from the title. Perhaps, though, the most interesting observation is why has Connecticut public utilities had to fend off up to 10 million cyber threats each week? That public utility companies face hacking threats is neither new or note worthy given the current state of world affairs. But 10 million attacks in one week is a bit excessive. Why would so many hacking attempts focus on one state and one sector of that state? It might be far less interesting if the state in question were California or New York given that those are two clearly high value states, but Connecticut? Why? There is another way to look at this, but I will let the above suffice for now. https://www.advisen.com/tools/fpnproc/fpns/articles_new_20/P/321161255.html?rid=321161255&list_id=20
