There may be a culture of acceptance in some schools across the U.K. and Ireland, evidenced by teachers commenting on students’ bodies, contacting them on dating apps, asking them about their sex lives, and even attempting to kiss or sexually touch them. ?
OCR determined that the district discriminated against students based on sex by failing to respond to incidents of sexual harassment and assault and that it failed to coordinate its responses through its designated Title IX coordinator, among other Title IX violations. ?
Behavior that would constitute sexual harassment in the workplace would also be prohibited in school settings under a bipartisan bill moving through the state legislature and?cosponsored by Sen. Jesse James (R-WI). ?
California sues school district over policy requiring parents be notified of gender identity changes
California’s attorney general is suing a Southern California school district with over 26,000 students for their new policy that requires schools to alert parents if their children change their gender identity or pronouns. ?
