Title: The Entrepreneurial Spirit is Essential to Growth?

Innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration are core to who we are at Ivanti . Recently, we brought together emerging leaders across Silicon Valley to capitalize on this energy and help drive the type of collaboration the industry needs to continue to move forward.??

As an industry (and a global community), we are just starting to figure out how to handle the proliferation of AI and continue to combat the increase in cyber terror. By working together, we can find unique solutions to provide a safe, equitable world that doesn’t stifle innovation. Together, we can solve big problems.??

As the Chief Product Officer at a large tech company, I constantly seek ways to inspire my team to innovate, anticipate the changing tech landscape, and help our customers stay ahead of threat actors—no small task.??

We brought together leaders who are hyper-focused on innovating in their sphere and have a robust entrepreneurial spirit. Innovation is essentially an entrepreneurial trait, and one tricky thing about the entrepreneurial spirit is that it can’t be taught – it’s something you?are.?That doesn’t mean you can’t develop an entrepreneurial spirit, but it’s something that you have to want to create. It’s an active trait and a muscle you must continue to flex or become complacent.?

Entrepreneurs are motivated by challenges.?

Entrepreneurs are doers, not sayers.??

Entrepreneurs take?intelligent?risks.?

Entrepreneurs are curious and resourceful. And along with this, they are hungry to learn and to grow.??

Shifting to an entrepreneurial mindset takes intention, and it requires passion. Cybersecurity is my religion. I firmly believe it’s essential to build solutions with security by design.? ?

Why do I believe this? The business landscape has?changed. Even if you’re firmly in the in-person camp for where employees should work, your team may be behind a firewall from 9-5, but gone are the days of leaving everything at work, with a dichotomous separation between work devices/applications and personal devices/applications.?

Right now, many organizations rely on piecemeal cybersecurity solutions to accommodate the new and constantly changing business landscape. Your security posture might look strong on the surface, but behind that is a tangled mess of shadow IT, personal devices, poor data hygiene, unsecured networks, and policies that aren’t followed or enforced because they are cumbersome and ineffective.?

I am excited to continue to tackle these issues and challenges with the emerging leaders of Silicon Valley and continue to build my entrepreneurial spirit.??
