Data Cleaning and Transformation:
Our analysis began with meticulous data cleaning, where we selected and refined essential data for our study. We narrowed our focus to four crucial columns: State Name, Abbreviation, Census Region, and Census Division, out of a total of 16 available. Additionally, we imported and transformed a second dataset, which contained state-wise population data over the years. By pivoting this dataset, we created a new table with columns for Year, Abbreviation, and Population. This step allowed us to establish a seamless connection between the two tables, using the Abbreviation as the common link.

To make our findings visually appealing and easy to understand, we utilized various data visualization techniques in Power BI. Here are some of the key visual elements we incorporated:
